Celebrating Diversity: PRIDE Haldimand Norfolk Returns to Port Dover This May

PRIDE Haldimand Norfolk Returns to Port Dover This May

PRIDE Haldimand Norfolk is bringing its vibrant celebration of diversity back to Port Dover for the second consecutive year. The annual “Last Saturday in May” community Pride Day event will transform Powell Park into a colourful hub of inclusion on May 31st, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Since its founding in 2017, PRIDE Haldimand Norfolk has worked to promote peace, equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout our rural communities. This grassroots, non-profit organization has become a vital support network for residents who identify as Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+, while creating welcoming spaces for allies, families, friends, and neighbours.

This year’s family-friendly celebration will feature a variety of attractions, including:

  • Live music performances on the bandstand stage
  • Local vendors showcasing their unique products
  • Community groups and churches demonstrating their commitment to diversity
  • A dedicated Children’s Area with engaging activities for younger attendees
  • Accessible restrooms and hand-washing stations throughout the venue

The event highlights the organization’s commitment to fostering equality and ensuring equal opportunities for people of all identities.

Mark your calendars for May 31, and join PRIDE Haldimand Norfolk in celebrating the diversity that makes our communities stronger. Happy Pride 2025!
