Norfolk GIS is responsible for creating, maintaining, cataloguing, and distributing GIS data within Community Planning Services. It also provides support for GIS within other County departments and provides access to GIS data to County staff, the GIS Community, and the public. Civic addressing and street naming are also the responsibilities of Norfolk GIS.
