Whether you’ve got a killer idea for a new product or service or just want to dive headfirst into the world of business, the Summer Company Program has got your back. Supported through the Brantford-Brant Business Resource Centre, you’ll receive training, mentorship, and coaching from local business leaders who know the ins and outs of running a successful venture. Not only will you be earning money, but you’ll also gain invaluable skills in marketing, customer service, and financial management.
“Summer Company shows young people that entrepreneurship is achievable,” says John Regan, Norfolk County Director of Economic Development. “By providing financial support and expert guidance, the program can help Norfolk’s next generation of innovators take that all-important first step.”
So, who can apply?
If you’re a high school, college, or university student aged 15 to 29, living in Ontario, and not currently running a business, you might just be the perfect fit. Just make sure you’re not juggling another job or studying more than 12 hours a week during the program. It’s all about focusing on your entrepreneurial journey!
“The Summer Company Student Grant Program represents more than just a financial boost for young entrepreneurs,” says Mae Legg, Manager of Economic Development at the City of Brantford. “This program has been a launch pad for many successful careers, and we’re excited to see the innovative ideas this year’s participants will bring.”
